Task: CPD powerline Ltd have worked on various LV, MV and HV projects for UKPN over the past 10 years. Working on Live and Dead Powerlines some of these tasks include:
- Dismantle and recover 10 kms of dual circuit 33kv network and 99 pole sets with associated underground cable boxes, along with the recovery of conductors from 4 tower sets
- We completed 1200 low ground clearance issues that have been surveyed and rectified ahead of schedule.
- On the refurbishment programme, we changed 300 D poles monthly in association with 17 kms of ABC together with 300 services per month all in heavily urbanized areas and working on an average of 120 customers on a 4 shutdowns daily

Task: This project entailed a complete turnkey LV Refurbishment and Maintenance programme in heavily urbanised areas whereby CPD powerline Ltd provided our own traffic management, liaised with schools and businesses to co-ordinate shutdowns having the capability to manage everything from Project Management,Health and Safety Management, Electronic Network Surveying and Overhead Line Construction.

Task:CPD’s Overhead Lines surveyors have surveyed over 25,000 poles to date across the Republic of Ireland. Detailed information is recorded including Location, Substation, Pole, Photo, Descriptor Text & Codes. CPD powerline Ltd has developed a unique Electronic Surveying Platform which allows our clients to see at a glance the total number of poles to be replaced, switching points, type of shutdown etc allowing for more efficient planning.Dates and names of the personnel who worked on the transformer are also recorded ensuring 100% traceability.
Storm Damage

Task: In 2015, CPD powerline Ltd deployed a team of 20 skilled lines people from Northern Ireland to assist with storm damage in Coggeshall and surrounding areas of the UK. Our team worked around the clock for 5 days to assist with the clean up operation and working with the SSE to get homes and businesses back in power.
In 2017, CPD’s lines team assisted DNO’s with the cleanup and restoration of power following the aftermath of Storm Opheila across Ireland.
Traffic Management

Task: CPD’s in-house traffic management team have worked across some of the heaviest urbanised areas in Northern Ireland. Our team liaised with local road authorities to ensure all relevant traffic control & road closure permits were obtained and our trained traffic operatives ensured traffic was safely and efficiently managed throughout each stage of the LV ESQCR programme .
